British Columbia is under a state of provincial emergency, with evacuation orders across Summerland, Peachland, and communities throughout the South Okanagan. If you’ve had to leave your premises, your phones shouldn’t be one more thing to worry about.
TOPS is here and operating. Call us and we’ll get your business reachable again — whether or not you’re a TOPS customer.
What We Can Do
- Forward your business lines to any mobile number, so customer calls still reach you.
- Change your greeting — a new auto-attendant or voicemail message telling customers what’s happening.
- Set up mobile and desktop apps so your staff can answer the business line from wherever they’ve relocated.
- Switch on voicemail-to-email so messages reach you even when nobody can get to the office.
- Get phones working at a temporary location if you’ve had to move.
Most of this we can do remotely from Kelowna the same day — no site visit, no waiting. Please note that our capacity to assist depends on if you’re a TOPS customer. Our ability to perform call forwarding, set up greetings, or any other system related actions require access to your phone system.
How To Reach Us
Call 1-888-778-0990 — or Kelowna 250-762-8888, Kamloops 250-374-6427.
If we’re on another line, leave a message with your business name and a number that’s currently working, and we’ll call you back. Existing TOPS customers with a service agreement can also use the standard 24/7 emergency line.
Official Emergency Information
For Evacuation orders, alerts, and current fire status, go to EmergencyInfoBC.ca. If you’ve been displaced, register with Emergency Support Services at ess.gov.bc.ca.
The province has asked that support come as financial donations rather than physical goods, which are difficult to transport and sort during an active emergency. The funds it has named:
- United Way B.C. Wildfire Recovery Fund
- Canadian Red Cross — 2026 British Columbia Wildfires Appeal
- Community Foundation of South Okanagan Similkameen — SOS Wildfire Response Fund
If We Don’t Manage Your Phone System
Call anyway. We can’t reprogram a system we don’t administer, but we can tell you exactly what to ask your provider for, help you get call forwarding switched on, and if you need phones running somewhere temporarily, we’ll we’ll take care of that. Forty-five year in the valley means we know who to call and what actually works.
TOPS has served Kelowna, Kamloops, and the Thompson-Okanagan since 1981. Our thoughts are with everyone displaced buy these fires, and with the crews still working.
